Community Engagement and Advocacy

Providing a quality education to our students in Manitoba is a joint responsibility between local school boards and the Province. Earlier this year, our board sent an invitation to our Minister of Education and the Education Critic to visit a school and meet with our board.  The intention was to provide an opportunity for our partners to better understand both the benefits and challenges that come with rural education.  As provincial funding for education fails to keep pace with inflation, these conversations are especially pressing.  This past week the Education Critic, Nello Altomare along with the leader of the opposition, Wab Kinew and local MLA candidate Sarah Pinsent-Bardarson met with our students, staff and board to learn more.
