Lakeshore School Division invites proposals to provide Four-Year-Old Preschool Programming for the February 2023 – June 2023 term in the following community schools:

Alf Cuthbert School and Ashern Early Years School

This is an early childhood education program for pre-Kindergarten children.

The expectations of the program include up to 16 weeks of contact time

with a minimum of 4 hours of programming per week.

The written proposal should include the following information using the following headings provided:

Qualifications of Instructor:

• ECE Level 2 minimum is preferred however consideration will be given to equivalent education and experience

• Experience with pre-school age children in daycare or nursery school

• Ability to work collaboratively with school team

Programming Plans:

• a list of the outcomes to be met during the program

• a philosophy of how the outcomes will be met

• a description of the strategies that will be used to meet the outcomes

• a measure to determine the success of the program

• a timeline of the 16 weeks of programming

Lakeshore School Division is currently looking to hire an Educational Assistant commencing ASAP until June 29, 2023. Broad Valley Colony School is a K- 12 school with approximately 40 students. Under the supervision of a teacher, the educational assistant shall assist in meeting the needs of all students as designated by the teacher/principal.  

 The ideal candidate  

  • Must have a passion for working with students.
  • Must be physically fit to perform the required tasks.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Must conduct day-to-day business in a professional manner with respect for confidentiality regarding staff and students.  
  • Grade 12 or equivalent is required.

 SHIFT:  Monday - Friday, 30 hours per week (hours to be determined)

 SALARY:  As per collective agreement
