Earth Day 2023 - MRC

Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 2023

Marble Ridge Colony School participated in Earth Day celebrations by planting cedar trees seedling in flowerpots which would be given to mothers for Mother's Day. Students also participated in classroom discussions about Earth Day and shared their ideas on what Earth Day means to them individually and their community.

To acknowledge this important day, students traced their hands as a symbolic effort to acknowledge this day.

On one hand, they wrote a response to the question: What can I do to protect the earth?

On the other hand, students created meaningful artistic impressions that reflected on the importance of doing their share to protect the environment.

A school poster was created with the combined effort of students’ hands positioned around a colorful earth that stated, "Happy Earth Day 2023." The student messages remind us to be mindful and continue our commitment to protect the earth together.
